Each phase is adjusted independently: 20 clicks of low-speed compression, 12 of high-speed, and 30 of rebound. Ride height is also adjusted independently of piston travel and spring preload. Inside, a digressive piston and a twin-piston setup operate, with one housed in the shock absorber and the other in the reservoir.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Honda CIVIC EP3 (01-05) (TYPE-R). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer part number A-16-ZR.

The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered lower collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

There are 3 spring rate combinations available. The one BC Racing defines as the default for this car is 12/16 kg/mm.

Before you buy

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing gears this series towards the track and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
