ACL oil pump for 1993–1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo and Galant. This is a replacement pump that ACL manufactures using the same design and metallurgy as the original, meeting or exceeding factory specifications, making it the logical choice for replacing a worn-out pump or for a moderately tuned engine.
The rotors (gerotor) are precision-machined from a highly durable copper-steel alloy, with tight tolerances between the housing and rotors to provide the correct pressure and flow, and each pump is individually inspected and tested. The housing is made of die-cast aluminum and is anodized for corrosion resistance.
Install it primed, with clean oil inside and the rotor turned by hand a few times, so it does not start dry and cavitation does not occur. Please note that a new pump will not correct low pressure caused by worn bearings, clogged passages, or a faulty pressure sensor.
