ACL oil pump for Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 and 9, Eclipse, Galant, and Outlander from 2003 to 2011 (4G63). It is a replacement pump that ACL manufactures with the same design and metallurgy as the original, meeting or exceeding factory specifications, making it the logical choice for replacing a worn pump or for an engine with moderate tuning.
The rotors (gerotor) are precision-machined from a highly durable steel-copper alloy, with tight tolerances between the housing and rotors to provide correct pressure and flow, and each pump is individually inspected and tested. The housing is made of die-cast aluminum and anodized for corrosion resistance.
An important installation tip is to prime it before closing the engine by filling it with oil and turning the rotor by hand, as a pump that starts with air loses pressure from the very first moment. Keep in mind that a new pump will not correct low pressure caused by worn bearings, obstructed passages, or a faulty pressure sensor.
