ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Nissan RB25/26
€86,50
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Nissan RB25/26 (part number 6B2960H), designed for engines that will operate under significantly higher loads and RPMs than stock.
Internally, they feature three layers on a high-strength steel backing: a copper-lead-tin lining, a thin nickel barrier, and a lead-tin-copper sliding layer, which is the surface that faces the crankshaft. On the rod bearings, this top layer is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
ACL manufactures them with more "crush" (interference fit) than standard bearings to ensure they are held securely and dissipate heat more effectively, as well as increased eccentricity, which helps maintain the oil film when the housing deforms at high RPMs.
In the standard size, ACL specifies them for a rod journal of 47.956 to 47.974 mm, with a bearing width of 17.1 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of approximately 0.051 to 0.061 mm, measured using a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement will change.
They do not have the silver-tin final coating of standard bearings, so their dark color—a mix of brown, black, and blue—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, combine them with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
Before ordering, please confirm your crankshaft measurement (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
