ACL Race Series main bearings for Hyundai 2.0L Turbo G4KF (Genesis, Sonata), part number 5M1295H. These support the crankshaft in the engine block and, in a tuned engine, are essential for ensuring oil is properly distributed throughout the crankshaft.

These are tri-metal bearings: a SAE 1010 steel backing, a copper-lead-tin intermediate layer approximately 0.3 mm thick, a nickel barrier, and a lead-tin-copper surface layer that conforms to the crankshaft surface and resists seizing.

The upper shells feature a full 180° oil groove, while the lower shells have a partial groove to avoid restricting oil flow to the connecting rods; the end of the groove is tapered to prevent pressure spikes. Compared to stock bearings, the Race series has increased crush for better seating and heat transfer, along with increased eccentricity to improve the oil film at high engine speeds.

In the standard size, ACL specifies them for a crankshaft journal of 51.942 to 51.960 mm, recommending an oil clearance of approximately 0.055 to 0.065 mm for that diameter. If the crankshaft has been reground, the required size will change.

They do not have the silver-tin final coating found on standard bearings, so their dark, brownish-black-bluish color is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more clearance is needed, they should be combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.

Before ordering, confirm the measurement of your crankshaft (standard or reground); if you have any questions, please write to us with your engine code.
