Ver descripción y características

ACL Race Series competition main bearing set (part number 5M2908H) for Lancia Delta HF Integrale. These support the crankshaft in the block, and in a tuned engine, they are responsible for ensuring oil reaches the entire crankshaft properly.

The structure is tri-metal, with a steel backing, copper-lead-tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft overlay that conforms and prevents seizing even under very high loads.

The upper bearings feature a full 180° oil groove, while the lower bearings have a partial groove to avoid cutting off oil flow to the connecting rods; the end of the groove is tapered to prevent pressure spikes. Race Series bearings have higher crush and a slightly more eccentric shape than standard bearings, both designed to ensure the bearing does not move and remains well-lubricated when the block and connecting rods deform under load.

In standard size, ACL specifies them for a crankshaft journal of 52.991 to 53.000 mm, and for that diameter, recommends an oil clearance of approximately 0.055 to 0.066 mm. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.

They do not have the silver tin finish of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they are combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.

If the crankshaft has been reground or you are unsure of the required size, please contact us with your engine code before ordering.
