ACL Race Series main bearings for Mitsubishi 4G61, 4G62
€151,95
ACL Race Series main bearings for Mitsubishi 4G61, 4G62, part number 5M1144H. These support the crankshaft in the block, and in a tuned engine, they are responsible for ensuring oil effectively reaches the entire crankshaft.
The structure is trimetal, consisting of a steel back, a copper, lead, and tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft surface layer that adapts and prevents seizing even under very high loads.
The upper bearings feature a full 180° oil groove, while the lower bearings have a partial groove to ensure oil flow to the connecting rods is not interrupted, with a tapered groove end to prevent pressure spikes. Race Series bearings have increased crush and a slightly more eccentric shape than standard bearings—two details designed to ensure the bearing remains stationary and well-lubricated as the block and rod deform under load.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a crankshaft journal diameter of 56.980 to 57.000 mm, recommending an oil clearance of approximately 0.059 to 0.070 mm for this diameter. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the silver-tin flash plating of standard bearings, so their dark, brownish-black-bluish color is as they come from the factory and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, combine them with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
Before ordering, confirm the measurement of your crankshaft (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
