ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Alfa Romeo 3.2L V6 JTS
€145,30
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearing set for Alfa Romeo JTS V6 3.2L, part number 6B2270H. This is ACL's competition line, the same used in drift, circuit, and drag racing engines.
These are tri-metal bearings: a SAE 1010 steel backing, a copper-lead-tin intermediate layer approximately 0.3 mm thick, a nickel barrier, and an overlay of lead, tin, and copper that conforms to the crankshaft surface and resists seizing. In connecting rod bearings, the overlay is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
Compared to a standard bearing, the Race line features higher crush for better seating and heat transfer, as well as increased eccentricity to promote an oil film at high engine speeds.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 55.992 to 56.008 mm, with a bearing width of 18.55 mm. For this diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of approximately 0.058 to 0.069 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the silver-tin final plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they can be combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
Before ordering, please confirm your crankshaft measurement (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
