ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for BMW V10 S85B50 (M5 E60/E61 and M6 E63/E64)
€300,58
These ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings, part number 10B1580H, are for the BMW V10 S85B50 engine (M5 E60/E61 and M6 E63/E64). They are the standard choice when opening the engine for performance tuning.
They feature a tri-metal structure with a steel backing, a copper-lead-tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft overlay that conforms and prevents seizing even under very high loads. On connecting rod bearings, the overlay is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
The Race Series bearings have higher crush and a slightly more eccentric shape than standard bearings—two details designed to keep the bearing from moving and to maintain proper lubrication when the block and connecting rod deform under load.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 51.975 to 51.991 mm, with a bearing width of 15.9 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of approximately 0.055 to 0.065 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the silver-tin flash plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more clearance is needed, they can be combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
Before ordering, please confirm the measurement of your crankshaft (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
