ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Ford 1.0L Turbo 3-cylinder Ecoboost (Fiesta, Focus)
€68,76
These ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings, part number 3B7328H, are for the Ford 1.0L Turbo 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine (Fiesta, Focus). They are the go-to choice when opening the engine for performance tuning.
They are tri-metal bearings: a SAE 1010 steel backing, a copper, lead, and tin layer of approximately 0.3 mm, a nickel barrier, and an overlay of lead, tin, and copper that conforms to the crankshaft surface and resists seizing. In connecting rod bearings, the overlay is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
Compared to a stock bearing, the Race series features more crush, which improves seating and heat transfer, and greater eccentricity to promote an oil film when the engine is running at high RPM.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 40.000 to 40.000 mm, with a bearing width of 15.6 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of about 0.045 to 0.053 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the final silver tin plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, combine them with the HX version, which provides 0.025 mm of additional clearance.
Before ordering, please confirm the measurement of your crankshaft (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
