Ver descripción y características

ACL Race Series connecting rod bearing set for Honda A18, A20, part number 4B1946H. This is ACL's competition range, the same used in drift, circuit, and drag racing engines.

The structure is tri-metal, with a steel backing, a copper, lead, and tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft overlay that conforms and prevents seizure even under very high loads. In the rod bearings, the overlay is thinner to better withstand fatigue.

Compared to a standard bearing, the Race series features more crush for better retention and heat transfer, and increased eccentricity, which promotes the oil film when the engine is revving high.

In standard size, ACL specifies this for a rod journal of 44.980 to 45.000 mm, with a bearing width of 19.5 mm. For that diameter, an oil clearance of approximately 0.049 to 0.058 mm is recommended, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft is reground, the measurements will change.

They do not have the silver-tin flash plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they are combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.

Before ordering, please confirm your crankshaft measurement (standard or reground); if you have any questions, contact us with your engine code.
