ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Hyundai Genesis V6 3.3L, 3.5L, 3.8L incl. Turbo (G6DA, G6DB, G6DC, G6DH)

These ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings, part number 6B8598H, are for the Hyundai Genesis V6 3.3L, 3.5L, 3.8L incl. Turbo (G6DA, G6DB, G6DC, G6DH). They are the standard choice when opening an engine for tuning.
Internally, they feature three layers on a high-strength steel backing: a copper-lead-tin lining, a thin nickel barrier, and a lead, tin, and copper overlay, which is the layer that works against the crankshaft. In the connecting rod bearings, the surface layer is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
Compared to a stock bearing, the Race series has higher crush for better seating and heat transfer, as well as greater eccentricity to support the oil film at high engine speeds.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 54.954 to 54.972 mm, with a bearing width of 18.0 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of approximately 0.057 to 0.068 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been ground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the silver tin final plating of standard bearings, so their dark, brownish-black-bluish color is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they are combined with the HX version, which provides 0.025 mm more clearance.
