ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Lancia Delta HF Integrale
€96,49
These ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings, part number 4B2904H, are for the Lancia Delta HF Integrale. They are the standard choice when opening an engine for tuning.
They feature a tri-metal structure with a steel backing, a copper, lead, and tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft overlay that conforms and prevents seizure even under very high loads. On the connecting rod bearings, the overlay is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
ACL manufactures them with more "crush" than a standard bearing to ensure a secure fit and better heat dissipation, as well as increased eccentricity to help maintain the oil film when the housing deforms at high RPM.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 50.787 to 50.807 mm, with a bearing width of 19.5 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of about 0.054 to 0.064 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the final silver tin plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—a mix of brown, black, and bluish tones—is as intended from the factory and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the surface of the bearings to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they are combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
