ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Subaru FB20, FB25
€70,98
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Subaru FB20, FB25 (part number 4B8325H), designed for engines that will operate with significantly higher loads and RPMs than stock.
They feature a tri-metal structure with a steel backing, copper-lead-tin lining, a nickel barrier, and a soft overlay that conforms and prevents seizing even under very high loads. The overlay on the connecting rod bearings is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
ACL manufactures them with more "crush" (interference fit) than standard bearings to ensure they are securely seated and dissipate heat better, as well as increased eccentricity, which helps maintain the oil film when the housing deforms at high RPMs.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 47.976 to 48.000 mm, with a bearing width of 13.35 mm. For that diameter, an oil clearance of approximately 0.051 to 0.061 mm is recommended, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft has been reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the final silver tin plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, they should be combined with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
