ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Suzuki GSX-R1000
€114,24
ACL Race Series connecting rod bearing set for Suzuki GSX-R1000, part number 4B8430H. This is ACL's competition range, the same used in drift, circuit, and drag racing engines.
Internally, they feature three layers on a high-strength steel backing: a copper-lead-tin lining, a thin nickel barrier, and a lead-tin-copper sliding layer, which is the one that operates against the crankshaft. In the connecting rod bearings, the surface layer is thinner to better withstand fatigue.
The Race Series bearings have increased crush and a slightly more eccentric shape than standard bearings, two details designed to ensure the bearing does not move and remains well-lubricated as the block and connecting rod deform under load.
In standard size, ACL specifies them for a connecting rod journal of 34.976 to 35.000 mm, with a bearing width of 15.0 mm. For this diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of about 0.041 to 0.048 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft is reground, the measurement changes.
They do not have the final silver-tin plating of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory finish and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the surface of the bearings to adjust clearance; if more is needed, combine them with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
Before ordering, please confirm the measurement of your crankshaft (standard or reground); if you have any questions, write to us with your engine code.
