Ver descripción y características

ACL Race Series connecting rod bearings for Toyota 1AZ, 2AZ (part number 4B8411H), designed for engines that will operate under much higher loads and higher RPMs than stock.

These are tri-metal bearings: a SAE 1010 steel backing, a copper-lead-tin layer of about 0.3 mm, a nickel barrier, and a surface layer of lead, tin, and copper that conforms to the crankshaft surface and resists seizing. In connecting rod bearings, the surface layer is thinner to better withstand fatigue.

Race Series bearings have increased crush and a slightly more eccentric shape than standard bearings, two details designed to ensure the bearing does not move and remains well-lubricated as the block and connecting rod deform under load.

In standard size, ACL specifies them for a crankpin diameter of 47.990 to 48.000 mm, with a bearing width of 15.6 mm. For that diameter, they recommend an oil clearance of approximately 0.051 to 0.061 mm, measured with a micrometer and bore gauge. If the crankshaft is reground, the measurements change.

They do not have the silver-tin finish of standard bearings, so their dark color—ranging from brown and black to bluish—is the factory appearance and does not indicate any defect. ACL advises against polishing the bearing surface to adjust clearance; if more is needed, combine them with the HX version, which provides an additional 0.025 mm of clearance.
