V3 kit without reservoir, for use with your own, designed for turbo or supercharged engines up to 1.5 bar of pressure. Water or methanol injection sprays a very fine mist into the intake. As it evaporates, the water absorbs heat and lowers the air temperature by several tens of degrees: the air enters denser, pressure and timing can be increased without needing higher octane, knocking is reduced, and exhaust temperature drops. AEM claims up to 20% more power. Water alone can be used, preferably demineralized, or a mixture of up to 50% methanol; for safety, never exceed that percentage. The injector must be placed above the reservoir, before the throttle body and after the intercooler and the mass airflow sensor, if present.
Requires custom tuning and should ideally be installed by an experienced technician.
