Description

ARP cylinder head bolt kit for the Volkswagen 1.8L 20V Turbo (with installation tool), part number 204-3902. This is the alternative to studs when you prefer to retain the stock bolt system, using a part that is much stronger than the original.

It is manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi tensile strength and maintains its properties under temperature better than chrome-moly. They feature a reduced-wrenching or 12-point head with a wide base, and the kit includes hardened and ground washers.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; the actual torque changes when using engine oil. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
