ARP cylinder head bolt kit for the Volkswagen 1.8L 20V Turbo (assembly tool not included), reference 204-3901. It is the alternative to studs when you prefer to keep the stock bolt system, using a much stronger part than the original.
It is made of ARP2000, ARP’s proprietary alloy that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties better at temperature than chrome-moly. They have a reduced or 12-point wrench head with a wide base, and the kit includes hardened and ground washers.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; if using engine oil, the actual torque changes. Not sure which engine version you have? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
