Description

This ARP 102-4701 kit replaces the Nissan SR20DE(T) M11 cylinder head bolts with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that will have increased power, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, so that the gasket and cylinder head seat in alignment, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases fatigue strength by a factor of twenty.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil changes the actual torque. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
