Description

ARP 207-4702 head studs are made for the Mitsubishi 4G63 (94-07 M11 ARP 8740 Lightweight studs) (M11). Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running with higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

Each stud is centerless-ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, so the gasket and cylinder head slide into alignment, and the thread is rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases its fatigue strength by twenty times.
