Description

This ARP 207-4701 kit replaces the Mitsubishi 4G63 (81-93 M12 Lightweight studs) (M12) cylinder head bolts with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, because the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.

The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue resistance, and the final grinding ensures that the head and gasket sit aligned when installed.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual torque changes. If you have questions about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
