This ARP 151-4201 kit replaces the cylinder head bolts for the Ford 2000cc Pinto engine with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, so that the gasket and cylinder head are aligned, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which, according to ARP, increases their fatigue strength twentyfold.
