ARP 202-4203 cylinder head studs are made for the Nissan A14. Replacing stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running with higher turbo boost or higher compression.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads after the heat treat process; this provides a fatigue strength about twenty times higher than a thread made before heat treatment.
