Description

ARP 202-4301 head studs are made for the Nissan RB20 / RB25 (ARP 8740). Replacing stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine runs at higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue strength about twenty times greater than that of a thread made before heat treatment.
