Description

ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Nissan SR20DET (Nissan Pulsar GTI-R RN14), part number 202-4303. It replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and avoids damaging the block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-molybdenum steel, heat-treated by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, allowing the gasket and cylinder head to seat in alignment, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases fatigue strength by a factor of ten.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values and using their assembly lubricant, as the specified torque settings are designed for it. Confirm the engine code before ordering; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
