ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Nissan VR38DETT, part number 202-4305. It replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and prevents damage to the block threads each time the cylinder head is removed.
They are manufactured from Custom Age 625+, a superalloy with a typical tensile strength of 260,000 to 280,000 psi, highly resistant to fatigue and corrosion. ARP centerless grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure they are straight and concentric, and threads are rolled after heat treatment; this results in a fatigue strength about twenty times greater than that of threads cut before heat treatment.
