ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Nissan VG30DE and VG30DETT, part number 202-4308. Replaces the factory head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load better across the gasket and does not wear out the block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. ARP centerless-grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue strength about twenty times greater than that of a thread cut before heat treatment.
