This ARP 202-4309 kit replaces the Nissan RB20 / RB25 cylinder head bolts (ARP 2000) with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties under heat better than chrome-moly. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue resistance, and the final grinding ensures that the head and gasket seat properly aligned when installed.
