Description

ARP 202-4701 head studs are made for the Nissan VQ35DE. Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to 190,000 psi tensile strength. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, allowing the gasket and cylinder head to seat aligned, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases fatigue strength by ten times.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. If you have questions about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
