Description

This ARP 203-4001 kit replaces the cylinder head bolts on the Toyota 3.8L F-Series (69-74) with studs. It is one of the first upgrades performed on an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-molybdenum steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after the heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue strength, and the final precision grinding ensures that the cylinder head and gasket seat perfectly aligned during installation.

Follow the torque specifications and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. Not sure which version of your engine you have? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
