ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Toyota 4U-GSE, part number 203-4305. It replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and prevents wear on the block threads each time the cylinder head is removed.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, ARP’s proprietary alloy that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties better under heat than chrome-moly. ARP precision-grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue strength about twenty times higher than that of a thread made before heat treatment.
