ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Toyota 1ZZ-FE, part number 203-4703. Replaces the factory head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load better across the gasket and does not wear out the block threads every time the head is removed.
They are made from ARP2000, ARP's proprietary alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi tensile strength and maintains its properties better than chrome-moly at high temperatures. Each stud is centerless-ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, allowing the gasket and head to seat properly, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases their fatigue strength by twenty times.
