Description

ARP cylinder head stud kit for Volkswagen Golf Jetta 1.8L and 2.0L 8V (standard studs), part number 204-4203. Replaces the factory head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load better across the gasket and prevents damage to the block threads each time the cylinder head is removed.

They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after the heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue resistance, and the final precision grinding ensures that the head and gasket seat in perfect alignment during assembly.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values using their assembly lubricant, as the specified torque settings are designed for it. Not sure which engine version you have? Send us the engine code and we will confirm the part number.
