Description

ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Volkswagen Golf Jetta 1.8L and 2.0L 16V (standard studs), part number 204-4204. It replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load better across the gasket and does not wear out the block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs significantly higher fatigue strength, and final grinding ensures that the cylinder head and gasket seat in perfect alignment during installation.

Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with a different lubricant the load received by each part will not be the same. Before ordering, please confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
