This ARP 204-4211 kit replaces the cylinder head bolts on the Porsche 944 2.5L SOHC and DOHC - Water Cooling with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue resistance about twenty times greater than that of a thread made before heat treatment.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, because the torque specifications provided are intended for it. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
