Description

This ARP 204-4701 kit replaces the Volkswagen Golf Jetta 1.8L and 2.0L 8V cylinder head bolts (lightweight studs) with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, because the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.

ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and threads are rolled after the heat treatment process; this results in a fatigue resistance about twenty times greater than that of threads cut before treatment.

Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with a different lubricant the load received by each part will not be the same. Not sure about your engine version? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
