Description

ARP cylinder head stud kit for Volkswagen Golf Jetta 1.8L and 2.0L 16V (lightweight studs), part number 204-4702. Replaces the factory head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and avoids damaging the engine block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.

ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue resistance approximately twenty times greater than that of threads cut before treatment.
