Description

ARP 206-4202 cylinder head studs are made for the BMC B-Series. Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running with higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to 190,000 psi tensile strength. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue strength, and the final grinding ensures that the cylinder head and gasket are aligned when assembled.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil changes the actual torque. If you have questions about whether this is the correct part for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
