Description

ARP 206-4204 cylinder head studs are made for the 11-stud BMC A-Series (for OEM Cylinder Head). Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless-ground after heat treatment to ensure perfect concentricity, so the gasket and cylinder head are aligned, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases their fatigue strength by a factor of ten.

Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque values, as the load applied to each part will not be the same with other lubricants. If you are unsure whether this is the correct part number for your engine, please contact us with your engine code and year.
