Description

ARP 206-4206 cylinder head studs are made for the BMC A-series 11-stud (for Shaved Head). Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, so that the gasket and cylinder head are aligned, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases their fatigue strength by twenty times.
