Description

This ARP 207-4206 kit replaces the cylinder head bolts on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X (4B11T ARP 2000) with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, because the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.

They are manufactured from ARP2000, an alloy proprietary to ARP that reaches about 220,000 psi of tensile strength and maintains its properties under heat better than chrome-moly. ARP precision-grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and threads are rolled after the heat treatment process; this results in a fatigue strength roughly twenty times greater than that of a thread cut before heat treatment.

Follow the torque specifications and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using motor oil will change the actual torque. Not sure about your engine version? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
