ARP 208-4303 head studs are made for the Honda B17A1 B18A1 B18B1 B18C1 B18C5. Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running with higher turbo pressure or higher compression.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue strength, and the final grinding ensures that the head and gasket seat aligned during assembly.
