This ARP 208-4305 kit replaces the Honda D16Y cylinder head bolts with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated by ARP itself to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. Each stud is centerless-ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, allowing the gasket and cylinder head to sit aligned, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases their fatigue strength by twentyfold.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
