Description

ARP 208-4307 head studs are made for the Honda H22A and H23A. Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running with higher turbo pressure or higher compression.

They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to 190,000 psi tensile strength. Each stud is centerless-ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, so that the gasket and cylinder head slide into place, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases fatigue strength by twenty times.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. Not sure which version your engine is? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
