ARP cylinder head stud kit for the Honda L15, part number 208-4308. Replaces stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load better across the gasket and does not wear out the block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.
They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. ARP centerless-grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure they are straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue strength roughly twenty times greater than that of a thread cut before heat treatment.
