This ARP 209-4302 kit replaces the cylinder head bolts on the Opel 2.5L V6 (standard bolts) with studs. It is one of the first upgrades performed on an engine that is going to be tuned for more power, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated in-house by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after the heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue strength, and the final precision grinding ensures that the cylinder head and gasket seat perfectly aligned during installation.
