ARP 234-4345 head studs are made for the Chevrolet LS (2004 and up). Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher turbo pressure or higher compression.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi of tensile strength and maintains its properties under heat better than chrome-moly. ARP precision-grinds every stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads after heat treatment; this achieves a fatigue strength about twenty times higher than a thread cut before heat treatment.
