ARP 251-4302 head studs are made for the Ford 1.6L Ecoboost. Replacing the stock bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher turbo pressure or higher compression.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary alloy from ARP that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties better under heat than chrome-moly. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue resistance, and the final grinding ensures the head and gasket sit aligned during installation.
