ARP cylinder head stud kit for the 2.0L Ford Zetec, part number 251-4702. It replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and prevents wear on the block threads each time the cylinder head is removed.
They are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated by ARP to a tensile strength of approximately 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, which gives ARP studs superior fatigue resistance, and final grinding ensures that the cylinder head and gasket are properly aligned during assembly.
